This policy covers IsItFridayYet.net, FridayWatch.com, and their related map and collection services.

The short version

We collect as little information as practical. We do not require visitor accounts, attempt to identify map visitors, or sell personal information.

The FridayWatch map

When you visit IsItFridayYet.net, our infrastructure processes your IP address to deliver the site and estimate your general location and time zone.

For each map signal, we store:

• The date and time of the visit
• An approximate location, such as city, region, country, and rounded coordinates
• The applicable time zone
• A non-identifying event ID

We do not use GPS or collect your precise location. Our map collector does not store your raw IP address, referrer, query string, browser identifier, user agent, or cookies.

Map records expire after seven days and are removed through scheduled cleanup. The public map displays only an approximate place, time, and Friday status.

Google Analytics and cookies

We use Google Analytics through Google Site Kit to understand general site activity. Google may receive information such as the page visited, IP address, browser and device information, site interactions, and pseudonymous cookie identifiers. We receive statistical reports rather than visitors’ names.

Google states that Analytics uses IP addresses during processing but does not log or store them. Other Analytics information is retained according to our Google Analytics settings and Google’s policies; the map’s seven day retention period does not apply to data processed by Google.

The website, WordPress, and service providers may set cookies needed for basic operation, preferences, security, or analytics. A cookie does not necessarily tell us your name, although cookie identifiers and associated information may be considered personal information under some laws.

If you voluntarily contact us or otherwise identify yourself, we may retain the information you provide for as long as reasonably needed to respond.

Advertising

We do not currently serve advertising. We may add advertising later. If we do, advertising providers may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses, and other identifiers to deliver and measure advertisements. We will update this policy and add any legally required notice, consent, or opt-out controls before enabling advertising.

Sharing and disclosure

We use service providers—including Google, hosting companies, and content-delivery providers—to operate, secure, and measure the sites. They process information under their own terms and our service arrangements.

We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect the sites, investigate abuse, or defend legal rights. We do not sell personal information.

Your choices

You can block or delete cookies through your browser. You may also use the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Depending on where you live and the laws that apply, you may have rights to request access, correction, or deletion of personal information. Because map records are short-lived and are not connected to an account or persistent browser identifier, we may be unable to associate a particular map record with you.

Traditional browser “Do Not Track” signals do not change our current practices. We honor legally recognized opt-out preference signals where applicable.

Children

These sites are intended for a general audience and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly request personal information from children.

Changes

We may update this policy when our services or legal obligations change. The effective date above will show when the policy was last revised.
